An engine blade from the Orpheus jet engine that powered Donald Campbell's Bluebird K7 boat on January 4th 1967. It was recovered with the rest of Bluebird from the bottom of Coniston Water in 2001. Each blade is unique due to the amount of corrosion and damage sustained. The blade is mounted on a square Lakeland slate coaster measuring approx. 95cm square . Each piece of slate is also unique and of irregular pattern . The blade measures between 4-7 cms long. The Bluebird logo is laser cut into the slate on the bottom right hand corner. The set is presented win a black base and a clear acrylic cover.
